Blend Project Packer for Portable Blender Projects
Renderjuice now ships a free Blender extension that preflights project dependencies, rewrites fragile paths, and builds a portable folder or zip for render farms, archives, and handoffs.
Moving a Blender scene should not mean guessing which textures, caches, linked libraries, add-ons, and output paths the next machine will be missing. Blend Project Packer is a new free Renderjuice Blender extension for turning a working local scene into a portable project folder or zip.
The extension runs inside Blender, works locally, and is built for handoffs to render farms, teammates, other workstations, or long-term archives.
Preflight Before You Package
Blend Project Packer starts by analyzing the open project. It reports the files and render-critical references it found, including external assets, image sequences, UDIMs, linked libraries, simulation caches, render output paths, and add-on evidence.
That scan gives you a useful checkpoint before the package is written. Missing files and unbaked caches are surfaced as action items instead of becoming surprises after upload or handoff.
Portable Paths in a Safe Copy
When you build a package, the extension saves and rewrites a copied project rather than changing your original .blend.
Absolute paths and paths that escape the project folder are remapped into portable // paths where possible. Render and compositor outputs are moved under local output folders, so the extracted project can open cleanly on another machine.
Folder or Zip Output
The packer can write a portable folder for quick local inspection or a zip when you need a single file to send elsewhere.
Each package includes a manifest-style receipt that records what was copied, rewritten, found missing, or left for review. That makes the package easier to inspect today and easier for future automation to understand.
Useful Beyond Renderjuice
This is not only for Renderjuice renders. The same portable folder is useful when you are archiving a project, sharing a scene with another artist, moving between machines, or preparing a file for any render farm.
Try It
Download Blend Project Packer and install it in Blender 4.2 or newer.
